Initially, staff are notified through a pop-up (pictured above) once updates are available for them to install at their convenience, after which the updates will install automatically. Clicking the pop-up will display various installation options, where staff can start the installation immediately or set preferred hours. If you believe you have missed the prompt, you may go to Software Center to manage the installation of updates. Computers may force a restart as part of the installation process. Staff are advised to save their work and close all running applications before installing updates. Manual installation windowITS will provide monthly information when Windows updates become available to Massey computers. If you haven't applied the updates within the dates below, your computer will install the updates and may restart automatically. Failure to do this may result in unsaved work being lost.
