Dear Business Partner,

A record level of solar energy was fed into the grid last year in Germany. However, the maximum grid feed-in fell by 0.5%. One reason for this was bad weather during periods when the maximum solar energy yield was to be expected from a meteorological point of view. Other reasons include aging PV systems and related poor efficiency as well as the feed-in management of grid operators.

By providing accurate projections and solar power forecasts, we ensure that solar energy is predictable for grid operators and energy trading companies (for individual systems, grid regions or entire countries) all around the world. For more information, read our latest press release.

New Calculation method “Pauschalabrechnungsverfahren” for lost production

As part of grid safety management in Germany, many photovoltaic systems are temporarily controlled by the respective grid operator in order to ensure the grid stability. This leads to a yield loss which can be compensated according to the German Federal Network Agency’s guidelines on grid feed-in management.

It is now possible to calculate the energy lost during a grid feed-in management measure in VCOM.  This is based on the defined method for this purposedefined by the German Federal Network Agency.

The amount of electricity not fed in to the grid can be automatically calculated in the ticket  under  lost production tab based on the last 15-minute value prior to the grid feed-in management measure.

Usability: User data and password now available in the footer

User friendliness is always at the heart of any upgrades that we carry out. As such, we will be adapting some existing features over the course of this year in order to make VCOM even easier for you to use.

We have now added the User Data and Password menu items to the footer. To amend your data, click on your user name in the bottom right-hand corner in VCOM. There you will find the new Profile page.
