RESA December eNewsThe end of 2017 marks a milestone with RESA celebrating 10 years supporting the mining and resources industry in South Australia. RESA hosted an end of year function to celebrate; graduates of RESA's DEVELOP, PACE Supply Chain Development program exhibited at the event in an industry showcase. Thanks to APC Technology, CAPS Australia, MC Labour, Rowlands Metalworks, Rowater, Sitemed and Thermoview for taking part. A special thanks to Adelaide Universities Mining Engineering Undergraduates and Masters Students whom volunteered their time to run the bar and act as wait staff. Copper Strategy Success Workshop: Leading your organisation in an age of disruptive technologiesThanks to those who attended our Disruptive Technologies Workshop, facilitated by Andrew Leunig Leunig Advisory, with presentations from Anthony Kittel REDARC and Mark Rankmore OZ Minerals. The morning provided insight in to potential threats and opportunities businesses face from disruptive technologies and explored case studies of how South Australian businesses have risen to the challenge. Each participant left the workshop with key action steps to progress their understanding and readiness for the next phase of the Resources Industry growth. Work Experience Placement ProgramIn conjunction with University of Adelaide, and in collaboration with SACOME and AusIMM, RESA is continuing the Work Experience Placement Program. Having already successfully matched 20 mining engineering students to work experience placement opportunities, RESA is would like to engage with suitable businesses to support even undergraduates to complete their industry placements.
