The restrictions on this lockdown have stopped us meeting family and friends and cut off many normal social interactions you would have on a day to day basis, including going to the gym.
Here some advice on helping your mind and body during this period:
Ways to keep being
social: Although nothing can replace physically meeting a friend or loved one, we can still connect with them via FaceTime, Skype or a good old fashioned phone call.
Exercise and eat right: It can be easy to fall into unhealthy patterns when out of the usual routine. Ensuring you plan a new routine which includes a daily walk or trying out one of the workout videos by Public Health England. Eating healthy is also an important part of your wellbeing. Remember to eat well-balanced meals using fresh ingredients and drink plenty of water.
Ensure you are getting enough sleep: In the time of a crisis, it can make us worried and anxious. This can obviously cause problems with getting a good night's rest. Try to stick to your normal sleeping patterns and continue to avoid screens before bed and not drinking as much caffeine. Having a bad night's sleep can often cause a big disruption to your day.
