On 6 April 2014 the Nigerian National Bureau of Statistics announced that Nigeria’s economy surpassed South Africa’s as the largest on the continent after the West African nation overhauled its gross domestic product data for the first time in two decades. On paper, the size of the economy expanded by more than three-quarters to an estimated 488 billion for 2013. That compares with the World Bank’s 2012 GDP figures of $262.6 billion for Nigeria and $384.3 billion for South Africa.

Highlights of the Africa CEO Forum, 17-19 March 2014, Geneva
The 2nd edition of the Africa CEO Forum 2014, which we organized jointly with the Groupe Jeune Afrique and in cooperation with the African Development Bank,
was three days of intensive and productive discussions with 700 African and international business leaders, investors, financiers and political decision-makers from 38 countries, over 80 speakers and 60 international journalists. Africa Business Day, 27 June 2014, Zürich
After a successful first edition in 2013, we organize together with Switzerland Global Enterprise the 2nd AFRICA BUSINESS DAY on 27 June 2014 at the Hotel Radisson Blu Zurich Airport. The morning sessions will put an emphasis on e-business in Africa, with presentations from YooMee Africa, a Swiss-based high speed mobile wireless internet provider in sub-Saharan Africa, and well-known integrated multinational media company Ringier. This will be followed by in-dept workshops on the topics of Logistics (by DHL), Corruption (by PwC), HR/talement management (by SpenglerFox)
