MISSIONARY UPDATE | Fankhausers
Since our last update about the Fankhausers, John has joined Beth, Bethany, and Bekah in North Carolina at the SIM campus. For the time being, they will be staying there to complete the CDC’s required quarantine procedures and receive the debriefing care they need. You can continue to check SIM’s website for updated information on the Ebola outbreak as well as read Bethany’s personal blog for updates on the family:

High School Youth Ministry Parent Meeting | Ventura Campus
As many of you know there are some new changes with our H.S. Youth Ministry in which Kevin Castaneda will be the Interim Youth Pastor beginning in September. We want to invite parents of high schoolers and their kids to come out to a parent meeting on Sunday, September 7th from 6-7pm at the Ventura campus to hear the vision and direction of our youth ministry. Come out and meet Kevin and the youth team, which will also include a time to ask any questions you may have in light of the changes and future of the H.S. Youth Ministry. |

Perspectives on the World Christian Movement
Coming this fall, Reality will be hosting Perspectives on the World Christian Movement! This is a 15-week course featuring 15 unique and dynamic speakers. The class is designed around four main vantage points or “perspectives” on the Great Commission – Biblical, Historical, Cultural, and Strategic. Each one is designed to give you the “big picture” of God’s plan for the world and your role in it. We encourage anyone who is serious about gaining a deeper understanding of God’s ultimate purpose in the world to attend. The class will be offered at the Carpinteria campus on Monday nights and at the Ventura campus on Tuesday nights starting September 8th and 9th from 6:30-9:30pm. For more information and to register go to their website and search for either the Carpinteria or Ventura class. College credit and ACSI units are available. Register before September 1st for the early bird discount! Family discounts are also available. |

Radical Recovery | Ventura Campus
Radical Recovery is a new group dealing with addictions and radical change as we learn to walk with Jesus through life's battlefield. If you're looking for change and serious about recovery, come join us and be radical for Jesus every Tuesday night from 7-8pm at the Ventura campus. Radical Recovery is led by Tino and Krissy Rico in the J-high room across the parking lot from our main building. Facilities Team Recruitment
We are recruiting for the Facilities Team at all 3 campuses! If you are able to help out 1-2 hours for one to four times per month, we would love for you to serve in keeping the facilities in Santa Barbara, Carpinteria, and Ventura looking clean. Tasks range from cleaning & vacuuming surfaces in lobbies, classrooms and restrooms to detail-cleaning in the kitchens along with some laundry. For those that are strong and skilled there is painting, repairing, setting up, restowing, and window cleaning. If interested, please fill out a volunteer form! |
