Night Work Road Paving on Constitution near Powers begins Sunday

Beginning the evening of Sunday, Sept. 21, crews will be milling and repaving sections of Constitution Avenue just east of Powers Boulevard. This repaving work is planned from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. on the night of Sept. 21, and then 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. on the nights of Sept. 22 through 24. The work may require lane closures along Constitution in the immediate repaving area.

Milling and repaving activities will continue during regular daytime hours through mid-October along Constitution between Preamble Point and Marksheffel Road. Repaving is the final step following installation of the water pipeline in this area as part of the Southern Delivery System (SDS).

As a reminder, motorists traveling north on Powers may experience a closed right-hand turn lane onto eastbound Constitution during the hours of 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. This closure is related to completion of a drainage structure which should be complete by the end of September.
