Older women are one of the fastest-growing sections of the Australian workforce. They are also the ones who must deal with menopause, which typically affects them for four to eight years. But most employers don’t recognise this as a problem and few women feel able to talk about managing their symptoms. As a result, writes Ruth McPhail, it’s killing careers.
