Unlocking potential... moving people forward Brookdale is an 8-bedded locked rehabilitation service in Derbyshire for males and females with a learning disability who also have additional complex needs, including forensic histories. Our facility accepts both detained and informal patients and receives referrals from medium and low secure services. The focus at Brookdale is on rehabilitation in a safe and structured environment. Brookdale consistently maintains a high standard of compliance when reporting to commissioners and a high level of CQUIN ratings. Hurst Review (2008) assessed our quality scores as ‘exceptionally high’ - rating us 5th out of 1,000 specialist units. As a result of this commitment to excellence, Brookdale is the only provider to be funded by the East Midlands Hub to participate in the development of The Learning Disability Life Star outcome measure and to run the Pilot project. Brookdale is also within the top two providers commissioned by the East Midland Hub to provide a Locked Rehabilitation service.
