Mensen die denken dat we op onze lege kont hebben gelegen tijdens de feestdagen komen bedrogen uit. Kerststronken noch opgevulde kalkoenen waren aan ons besteed. Tot de laatste minuut werd immers doorgewerkt om onze lezers alweer te voorzien van een ferme brok leesvoer uit de hardere sector. Rock Tribune mag je eigenlijk nooit missen, maar deze maand al zeker niet!

Terwijl je dit leest ligt de honderdéénendertigste editie van Rock Tribune in de winkelrekken en daarmee gaat jullie lijfblad haar dertiende jaargang in. En of we zin hebben in dat nieuwe jaar. Was 2013 nog een goed wijnjaar, 2014 beloofd een bijzonder goed metaljaar te worden met nieuwe releases van onder meer (we geven een héél bescheiden overzicht): Arch Enemy, Testament, Exodus, Immortal, Slayer, Sabaton, Behemoth, Anaal Natrakh, Primordial, Cannibal Corpse, Napalm Death, Machine Head, Epica, Nile, Obituary, Vader, Amenra, Electric Wizard, Triptykon, Wintersun, Sonata Arctica, Symphony X, Accept, Blind Guardian, Lacuna Coil, 3 Inches Of Blood, Sick Of It All, Sanctuary (eindelijk!), Marduk, Entombed, Dark Funeral, Toxik, Tool, Mastodon, Judas Priest, Fear Factory, Cavalera Conspiracy, Delain, Grave Digger, Audrey Horne, Slash, The Cult, C.O.C., Agalloch, Whitesnake, Crowbar, Venom,… Ja, zelfs King Diamond, Metallica en Iron Maiden werken aan nieuw materiaal. Wij kijken er alvast naar uit en jij leest er elke maand alles over in Rock Tribune!

Als de demonen ons welgezind zijn ligt Rock Tribune 132 in de handel vanaf 4 februari.

ALCATRAZ METAL FESTIVAL 2014 gaat door op 8 & 9 augustus, te Kortrijk. En jawel, de affiche begint stilaan vorm te krijgen. Binnenkort maken we enkele nieuwe namen bekend. W.AS.P. en ARCH ENEMY bevestigden eerder al hun komst naar AMF.

Op 17 januari komt de progressieve rockband Trans-Siberian Orchestra naar Vorst Nationaal voor een unieke show.

Wij kregen van organisator Greenhouse Talent de hierboven afgebeelde Schecter-gitaar om cadeau te doen aan één van de lezers van ons magazine. De wedstrijd loopt tot en met 14 januari dus ga vlug lezen in de nieuwe editie hoe je dit fijne speeltje op de kop kunt tikken.

ALCATRAZ CONCERTS heeft de handen in elkaar geslagen met concertzaal DE KREUN in KORTRIJK. In de toekomst zullen er samen concerten worden georganiseerd. Om het ijs te breken wisten we met U.D.O. (16 februari) en CORROSION OF CONFORMITY (16 maart) alvast wee leuke bands naar de Groeninghestad te halen.

ALCATRAZ METAL FESTIVAL 2014 will take place on 8 & 9 August in Kortrijk. And yes, the line-up is taking shape. Soon we will announce some new names. W.A.S.P. and ARCH ENEMY confirmed their presence earlier.

The progressive rockband Trans-Siberian Orchestra will come to Forest National in Brussels on January 17 for a unique show.

We received the Schecter guitar (see picture above) from organizer Greenhouse Talent as a gift to one of the readers from our magazine.

ALCATRAZ CONCERTS is teaming up with concert hall DE KREUN in KORTRIJK. In the future we will organize some shows together. To break the ice we will start with U.D.O. (February 16th) and CORROSION OF CONFORMITY (March 16th). Hope to see you all there!
