A WSU Vancouver alumna, Teresa Phimister has 17 years of experience as a College of Arts and Sciences advisor and academic coordinator. She was instrumental in creating the Vancouver Advising Committee. She earned her B.A. in humanities in 1993, and an M.A. in English at Portland State University in 1997.
Aaron Whelchel teaches history and acts as a liaison between the history department and the College of Arts and Sciences Advising Center. He is an alumnus, with two bachelor’s degrees, an MBA and a Ph.D. in world history from WSU Pullman.
Teresa and Aaron are among five WSU academic advisors to be recognized. Others, all in Pullman, are Leah Rosenkranz-Wurst, College of Engineering and Architecture; Justine Nicoll Rupp, School of Biological Sciences; and Mary Sanchez-Lanier, College of Veterinary Medicine. Their names will be submitted for regional and national award competitions.
