Linked below is the Import-Export Report for May 2019.

Here are a few key findings:

• The volume of beer imported into the U.S. increased by 2.9% during May, the third consecutive month of import growth. 
• Consumer spending on imported beer increased by an estimated 4.6% during May.
• U.S. beer import volume is now up 2.1% year-to-date through May.
• Mexican imports grew by 8.2% during May.  Among the top five source countries, Mexico was the only one to grow import volume in May. 
• Beer exports declined again in May, the fifth consecutive month of export declines.  The decline is partially due to continued strong performance of the U.S. dollar compared to other major currencies, including the Mexican peso and the euro.
