Gaming news

Shutdown period for gaming machines

Venues are required to shutdown gaming machines between the hours of 4am and 10am, unless they have approval for a different or shorter period.  Recent audits conducted by OLGR revealed that some venues wrongly assume that because they have approval to sell alcohol past 4am, they are also entitled to operate gaming machines past 4am.

Hotels and registered clubs that trade into the early hours of the next day should ensure that gaming machines are not operated during the 4am-10am shutdown period unless given prior approval. Find out more>
