'Let kids be heard in the world'A recent report by Western Sydney University, Queensland University of Technology and Crinkling News has found that less than half of Australia's young people think the news covers issues that matter to them and almost two-thirds believe that media organisations have no idea what young people's lives are like. Diya Mehta, 15, was our roving reporter at the recent MediaMe conference, the first-ever national conference on young people’s media literacy. She recorded a podcast exploring how young people can play a role in the media landscape. 'What would you say to adults who have this idea that kids don’t care about the news or don’t care about what’s going on around them?' asked Diya. Diya's podcast is part of the 'listening pod' experience inside the latest evolution of our children's exhibition, PlayUP.
