Scootle News

Dear colleague,

Welcome back from what we hope was a rejuvenating and enjoyable break. In our first edition of the Scootle News for 2014 we have just what you need to kick-start the year’s professional learning in your preparations for an exciting year of teaching and learning ahead.

In the January edition of the Scootle News we highlight a range of practical resources, tools and networks to support your practices and enhance the learning opportunities for your students.

The tools and conversations highlighted below are an example of the ongoing collaboration taking place in Scootle Community. We hope that you will join and contribute to the professional networking platform developed specifically for Australian educators. We look forward to sharing and connecting with you in 2014.

Your community

What teachers in your community have to say and what inspires them.
Joachim Cohen

        Joachim Cohen - NSW

  1. Describe your community in 5 words
Empowering learning through access and personalisation!

  2. What is your favourite educational hashtag to follow?
It's a tough choice, but it would have to be #tlchat (teacher librarians are awesome) or #nswdecbyod.

  3. Do you have a TED Talk or video that has inspired you lately?
I would have to recommend Keller Rinaudo: A mini robot -- powered by your phonea video which prompted me to purchase my Romo called 'Herbert'.
