Pathfinders are out of this world!
After 5 years of trying, one of the Pathfinder leaders from Florida successfully got NASA to take the Florida Pathfinder Patch into space on the final mission of the Space Shuttle Discovery, STS-133. They received a certificate of authentication that states:
From her first launch on August 30, 1984, until her final landing on March 9, 2011, Discovery has proudly flown over 148 million miles in 39 missions and logged a total of 365 days on orbit; the longest of any spaceship in history.
STS-133 total mission duration of 12 days, 19 hours, 3 minutes, 53 seconds, with 202 orbits around our beautiful planet and a total distance traveled of 5,304,140 miles.
Union Coordinator update
As shared in last month's newsletter, each union in the North American Division will host a thirty-minute program during the day on the nighttime stage.
Jose Cortes has recently been elected Youth Director for the Atlantic Union Conference, and thus will serve in Bill Wood's place as coordinator for the Atlantic Union Conference program.

This summer, Ron Whitehead and Japhet De Oliveira will attend the Euro-African Division Camporee, taking place near Rome, Italy from August 1-8. The Camporee's theme will focus on the life of Paul. While there, they will be presenting the 2014 FFIC.
