Connecting Classrooms Through Song!

Bring music and song into your students international learning

The World Voice programme aims to ensure that, through training, collaboration and resources, young people have the opportunity to use singing to develop their musicality and support wider learning.

This event will enable you to learn about the World Voices programme and how you might be able to use the resources in your school and with your school partnership. You will also help us shape the programme for the future.

When?

10.30am to 4pm
26th April 2013

British Council
10 Spring Garden
London, SW1A 2BN

The day will include:
• A presentation on creation and aims and objectives of the World Voice Programme
• A presentation with representatives from India and Senegal on the pilot projects
• Exploration of the repertoire collected in India, Senegal, and UK including a chance to learn some of the songs with Artistic Director Richard Frostick
• A discussion on the classroom resources currently available on the World Voice microsite and a chance to plan their use in your classroom

Tea and coffee will be served on arrival and in the afternoon and lunch will also be provided.

Please visit the Schools Online projects and resources website for more information.
