Thames Diamond Jubilee Pageant
Along the River Thames, from Putney to Tower Bridge.

This boating extravaganza promises to be one of the largest events ever held in London. The flotilla will be made up of 1,000 and will stretch to seven miles long. This unique spectacle, inspired by a rich history of entertainment and theatre on the Thames, is expected to include 20,000 participants on the water and millions of spectators on the banks.

A visit to the Bentall Centre is a must for the big Jubilee this year! Strike a pose with a Palace Guard then partake in a ‘meet and greet’ with a Beefeater. The following day, little ones can tantalise their taste buds at a Tea Tasting with Whittard, as well as see what the future holds when they have their tea leaves read. On the Monday, pop along to the Jubilee Street Party workshop where you can make your very own bunting and British flags. Brilliant family fun!

The V&A Museum of Childhood

This wonderful museum is hosting a special exhibition to coincide with the London Olympics. Beautiful Games features over 70 examples of sports equipment and historic memorabilia, including an official 2010 World Cup football, trophies and footwear. Beautiful Games will show little ones just what it takes to get to the top in their sport.

Diamond Jubilee Party
Lion Green, Haslemere, Surrey

At this momentous Haslemere event, there’ll be a Carnival procession, a Jubilee picnic and a 1952 ‘Coronation Street Tea Party’. The theme will be 'The Queen's reign and the Commonwealth', and the event organisers have written to all the embassies of the Commonwealth to request a flag so that the streets of Haslemere are bedecked with flags from every country! The finale will be at 10pm where the Diamond Jubilee Beacon will be lit.
