In our 35th year of trading, its more important than ever to reward colleagues and brokers alike. That’s why we’re offering our 35 year referral competition; more on that later.

Following a number of clients de-commissioning wood burning stoves, we thought we’d highlight the safety and savings such action can take.

We’re also introducing Charlotte who joined our team late last year as an Account Handler in her first piece on the thatch insurance market.

Our small update is ultimately your newsletter that should give you a few snippets of advice and guidance. If you feel we should mention a particular story, get in touch at

Best wishes,
Malcolm Sydenham
County is inviting you to our 35 year anniversary

County turned 35 last November and we’re inviting our broker partners to join in the party. With a red letter day up for grabs, get your brokers into the game here.
Mythbusting Woodburners

Melanie our Senior Account Handler and Team Leader writes about the myths and realities surrounding wood burning stoves in thatch properties. Read more here.
Bundles of Cover

While many new Thatch & Home insurance entrants into the market offer discounted rates and attractive first-time-buy deals, often these policies don’t include additions such as Home Legal cover or Home Emergency. Charlotte Clayton, our new Schemes Account Handler, has conducted some market research. Read more here.
Rebuild Cost Assessments –Getting your sums right!

Clients are often unaware of the true cost of rebuild of their properties and this can lead to tough conversations at a claim stage. For ease, clarity and correctness, a Rebuild Cost Assessment can clear up these issues for the price of a cup of coffee a week. To find out about our surveyor backed service, click here.
