The latest drugs.ie feature highlights the issue of higher levels of alcohol misuse among members of the LGBT community, compared with their heterosexual counterparts. The feature includes interviews with Ronan Waters from the Gay Men's Health Service and Gillian Brien from BelongTo.

NACD Research & Seminar: Substance use among young people

The National Advisory Committee on Drugs (NACD) recently launched a research report entitled
'Risk and Protection Factors for Substance Use among Young People: A Comparative Study of Early School-Leavers and School-Attending Students'.
To discuss the issues and challenges in this area, the NACD have organised a seminar entitled 'Responding to challenges of substance use among young people in Ireland'. The seminar takes place in on Wednesday 17th November 2010.
