Hope Force International is Seeking a Select Group of Volunteers to Join Us in Nepal!

February 1-15, 2020

Those who have been fortunate enough to join HFI in Nepal have found it to be one of the most meaningful ministry experiences of their lives.  It is an opportunity to witness God’s rescuing and restorative intervention on behalf of seriously abused and once helpless children enslaved in human trafficking.  Through sacrificial acts of service, team members have the privilege of investing into the future stability and strength of the ministry.  A cornerstone of this outreach is expressing the tangible love of God to staff and children alike.

Hope Force International & The Apple of God's Eyes

Hope Force International (HFI) responded to the devastating 2015 earthquake in Nepal by sending back-to-back emergency medical teams. Apple of God’s Eyes (AOGE), our national partner, received these teams and worked collaboratively with HFI in an effort to meet the critical needs of survivors in remote, mountainous villages that had received little or no medical intervention.

HFI has returned each year since with construction and medical teams – once again working hand-in-hand with our partner. Construction teams have concentrated on rebuilding facilities lost to AOGE during the quake, modest homes for AOGE staff and other projects. The medical team provided care to people living in the surrounding rural areas as well as in Kathmandu – thus serving as “goodwill” ambassadors on behalf of AOGE.

We’ve witnessed, firsthand, the transformative impact of a loving family called The Apple of God’s Eyes upon the lives of once ravaged and devastated children.  The selfless sacrifice and dedication of the team is an inspiring example of God’s love – healing deep hurts and restoring hope. It is our honor to do all we can to encourage and strengthen this amazing ministry and those who serve these little ones so faithfully.

What We Will Be Doing in Nepal:

The construction team will concentrate on building projects selected by AOGE. Past teams have built very modest homes on behalf of young adults who have aged out of the AOGE program, but nonetheless, remain a part of the family – often serving in a staff position. We’ve also constructed classrooms and a church. Leadership training will be comprised of a select group of people focusing on topics selected by our partner AOGE.

The 2015 earthquake threatened an already vulnerable population in Nepal. People living in mountain and rural villages were cut off from immediate medical attention after the quake hit. These areas historically suffer the effects of inadequate care and isolation. As Hope Force International returns again in 2020, the medical team will work in collaboration with AOGE to provide relief to this underserved population – as well as those in surrounding Kathmandu. These acts of kindness enhance the name of Jesus and of AOGE in this largely Hindu / Buddhist nation.

Within the 2020 Nepal deployment, we will once again have medical, construction and leadership training components. HFI is seeking medical professionals, construction workers, and able-bodied volunteers.

Let's Go!
