Skydive for Amos 2016

Sunday 10th July – above the skies of Cambridgeshire

A tandem Skydive for Amos Trust is the ultimate thrill!

Ever wanted to jump out of an aeroplane from a great height? Well now's your chance! After take off, the plane (with you in it), will climb to around 15,000 feet, at which point the door will open and you'll jump out. What could be simpler?

After free-falling to 5,000 feet, your instructor (who you'll be attached to), will open your parachute and you'll be able to help steer you both to a gentle landing – hopefully not too far from where you took off!

If you're looking for a challenge to remember, please join our latest Amos adventure and take the jump of a lifetime.

This is Amos’ first skydive, it also happens to be a significant birthday for Amos Director Chris Rose, so, we thought it would be great to send him for a skydive to raise funds for Amos Trust! Amos Trust is 30 this year and we want to celebrate with you throughout 2016.

Everybody loves a good party and getting involved in 30@30: Join The Party is easy and fun!

30@30: Join The Party
Amos Trust is 30 this year and we want to celebrate with you! Throughout 2016 we'd like to see you party with us by putting on 30 different events around the country – to raise awareness and vital funds for Amos Trust and our partners around the world. 

It could be a dinner party, a tea party, a coffee morning, a church service celebrating the work of our partners. You could combine your own birthday celebrations with ours – like Mark in Cambridge who recently asked people to give gifts to Amos as a way of celebrating his birthday.

Whatever you decide to do, we would love you to join us as we celebrate 30 years of great friendships and wonderful work with our partners. New for 2016 – A Taste of Palestine

Monday 10th – Thursday 20th October, 2016

Cook, eat and talk about the current situation in Palestine while visiting the kitchens, restaurants and markets of Bethlehem and Nazareth.

New in October 2016 is Amos' culinary trip – 'A Taste of Palestine' where you'll cook, eat and talk about the current situation in the Holy Land.

This trip will be based in the kitchens, restaurants and markets of Bethlehem and Nazareth with time in Jerusalem, Hebron, Nablus and the Sea of Galilee.

You will cook in local homes, delight in traditional dishes and get to grips with issues around the kitchen table. Spend time travelling up through the West Bank, meeting local farmers and hearing about the constraints and difficulties they face on a daily basis.
