The keynote speaker at this year's FMX, Timothy Caulfield, Ph.D., has spent decades studying the spread and impact of health misinformation. He is currently leading a project to collect and evaluate information ― and misinformation ― about SARS-CoV2 and COVID-19 from multiple sources (e.g., social media, mainstream news outlets, search engine data) and determine which types of messages are gaining traction and why.

COVID-19 Updates
Utah sets a new single-day record for COVID-19 cases, with 1,960
Salt Lake Tribune - "The additional cases pushed Utah past a new milestone: More than 100,000 cases of COVID-19 have been reported statewide since the pandemic began. Since March, when the first cases were reported in the state, 101,509 Utahns have been diagnosed with COVID-19.

Utah unveils COVID-19 vaccination plan
Fox 13, Utah - "According to a presentation by the agency for the Utah State Legislature's Interim Health & Human Services Committee obtained by FOX 13, the state is preparing for limited availability at first and has prioritized health care workers who work with COVID-19 patients. CDC Updates Its Definition of "Close Contact"
"Close contact" is now considered to be someone who was within 6 feet of an infected person for a cumulative total of 15 minutes or more over a 24-hour period* starting from 2 days before illness onset (or, for asymptomatic patients, 2 days prior to test specimen collection) until the time the patient is isolated.
