There has been widespread interest from physicians across the province to work together for system change and sustainable solutions for child and youth mental health. Members meet regularly and communicate through Slack - an online platform where they can share resources, and add their voices to online discussions on a variety of topics. For example, a popular forum on the site right now focuses on the recent Cannabis legislation and resources for physicians. The CoP's last in-person meeting concentrated on approving the strategic plan, and developing concrete actions to achieve stated objectives and priorities. You can read the outcomes of their meeting here. If you're passionate about child and youth mental health, and interested in getting involved, please contact Eileen Janel at ejanel@doctorsofbc.ca. Shared Care at Work - Our Recent EventsLinking Communities to Spread SuccessIt's been a busy few months for Shared Care with a number of events taking place as we work to bring communities together to improve care for specific priority populations. Recognizing the value of sharing the outcomes and resources from these in-person gatherings, we've added an Events and Outcomes page under Results on our website. This page is specifically devoted to reporting out on each event and what took place, such as; who's involved, decisions made, and plans and next steps. Links to presentations and useful resources are also often included.
