HAPPY NEW YEAR!

What a year we've had, and what a year we have ahead

"We surely have another roller-coaster year ahead of us. Through listening, learning, and working in partnership, our sector can play an even more effective role supporting more organizations working in more communities as we emerge from this global storm."

Check out the first blog post of the year from our President and CEO Jean-Marc Mangin, on what we're reflecting on at PFC, and what's ahead for 2022.

Call for content submissions for the PFC blog

PFC loves to highlight the initiatives, accomplishments and thought leadership of our members and network partners. We have an active and growing following of philanthropic leaders from across Canada and beyond.

We’re ideally looking for pieces that are about 400-600 words, in both English and French.

Here are some general tips:

  • Make clear near the beginning of the piece why you’re writing it now.
  • Avoid using jargon and explain terms and concepts you're using that most people wouldn't necessarily understand.
  • Provide enough context so a person who knows nothing about the subject can understand your argument or idea and why it matters.

If you have ideas for a blog post, or have a published piece we can provide a platform for, don't hesitate to reach out!

January 26, 2022 at 12-1:15pm ET

The Trust-Based Philanthropy Project is a peer-to-peer learning and advocacy initiative to make trust-based practices the norm in philanthropy. It will be hosting two webinars at the end of January that may be of interest to PFC members.

Webinar 1: A Trust-Based Framework for Learning and Evaluation in Philanthropy
Tuesday, January 25, 2022, 12:00-1:30PM PT / 3:00-4:30PM ET

Hosted in partnership with the Center for Evaluation Innovation, this webinar will address how trust-based philanthropy rethinks metric-focused, project-specific impact evaluation to instead make space for learning — learning for accountability, decision-making and long-term impact.
