Mandatory vaccination for Suppliers and ContractorsIn order to ensure the ongoing safety of the vulnerable people within our care, Calvary has made the decision to mandate that the staff of our Suppliers and Contractors who are accessing and or providing services to our aged care, community or hospital facilities must be vaccinated against Covid-19. Given the decision taken by the Federal Government with regard to mandatory vaccinations for aged care workers, Calvary requires that the staff of Suppliers and Contractors who are accessing our facilities or providing services in our facilities will have received their first vaccination by 17 September 2021. For the avoidance of any doubt, this requirement extends to all Calvary facilities in all states and territories. Calvary intends to be a leader in Health care when it comes to COVID-19 vaccination. It is our intent that residents and their families will recognise our position as a point of difference within the market that is consistent with our commitment to excellence in care. Calvary acknowledges the feedback received from employees and suppliers regarding the intended policy position. Whilst we recognise that this in an uncertain time for people, we are firmly of the view that the policy position is in accordance with sound medical advice and that we are obligated as a leading health care organisation within Australia to ensure the safety of our residents by mandating that the staff of our Suppliers and Contractors are vaccinated against COVID-19. We are also aware that there is concern regarding the availability of the vaccine and the challenges that some of our Suppliers and their staff may experience in accessing vaccinations. To the extent we can, we will work with our Suppliers to support them in their efforts to achieve their first vaccination by 17 September. Recording and Evidence of Vaccinations It is a requirement that all Suppliers and Contractors notify Calvary of any COVID-19 vaccination they have received and provide evidence of this. In order to support both our Suppliers and our business in how we record and manage such information, Calvary is changing the way we engage with our Suppliers and Contractors. During July and August Calvary will be releasing an online portal, Calvary Supplier Central, which will replace paper based vendor on-boarding and supplier management processes. Calvary Supplier Central will allow our Suppliers and Contractors to manage critical documentation such as insurance certificates of currency, police checks, vaccination records and other information which we currently collect manually. When will you be able to access information stored in Calvary Supplier Central? In August we will commence onboarding and training of Calvary staff in accessing and navigating Calvary Supplier Central. There are numerous benefits for both our Suppliers and Staff in this initial stage of release, which include:
