If You Need a Quick Refresh on the BCA

Those of you who are just cracking into your AMPs may benefit from a once-over-lightly refresh on the Business Case Approach (BCA).

The Transport Agency has agreed to give local authority road infrastructure staff and associated consultants access to two simple online courses, The BCA: the essentials, and The BCA: principles in action.

Each course takes approximately 20 minutes. They cover the basics of the process and the thinking behind it, and take you through several examples of applying the principles. They also contain some useful information sheets on critical thinking, stakeholder engagement, and basic principles.

The Transport Agency will be deploying more business case training modules and associated collateral over the next few months.  This introductory course is just the beginning.

You can acquire a license to access the courses (it’s free) by emailing nltp@nzta.govt.nz with your name, title, organisation, and manager’s name.
