There’s more than Aussie Rules happening at Kilburn Football Club.

‘I didn’t want to go’, Mal Theil said, regarding the initial club meeting at Kilburn, citing harsh experiences in the suburb growing up. ‘Kilburn Footy Club is rough – I grew up in the neighbouring suburb and hated the place.

‘You’d ride your bike there as a kid and come home with a fat lip’, Mal recalled. ‘It was a God moment [going to the meeting]. I didn’t want to go, but I felt I was called to go.’

Not Appy!

Okay, we know you Appy people aren't very Appy at all right now. The September print edition is almost in your mailboxes, and the July app is still not up on iTunes! We're really sorry about that. There's an issue with iTunes as they move us over to paid subscription ($3.99). They've promised us that all three editions (July, August, September) will be available very soon. Thanks for your patience.

 

But we also have some very Appy news. The Lutheran is now available also on Android. You'll find us at the Google Play Store.

And very, very soon, we'll be on iPhone too. Stay tuned for more information about that!
