Help make a difference!

Write to your local MP and let’s show our them how important the State Equestrian Centre is to our community!

  1. Find your electorate – if you are unsure which electorate you are in, you can find out on the Australian Electoral Commission’s website: https://electorate.aec.gov.au
  2. Get the contact details for your representative here . If you live in the Canning, Hasluck or Pearce electorates, the opposition candidate is also listed.
  3. Email or write to your representative in your own words explaining why the centre is important to you. If you get stuck, click here for an example draft (however original emails will have more impact).

*IMPORTANT UPDATE*

EWA TWILIGHT SERIES – 19 JANUARY POSTPONED TO 9 FEBRUARY

Due to the extremely hot weather forecast in Brigadoon this weekend the EWA Twilight Series has been postponed to Saturday 9 February. The welfare of the horse is paramount and with a predicted forecast of 40°C in Brigadoon we feel the risks to horses competing are too great to hold a competition on Saturday afternoon. We thank all riders, officials and volunteers for their support of the event.

Entrants for this weekends competition have three options moving forward:

  1. Leave your entry the same and entries will be moved to February
  2. Adjust entries (adding/removing horses and/or classes) by emailing SaraBotten@equestrianwa.org.au
  3. Scratch entries to receive a full refund - this can be done online or via emailing SaraBotten@equestrianwa.org.au

Also please note:

  • DRESSAGE TESTS – The EA Dressage Tests will now be the B tests as we are running the event after 1 February.
  • START TIME – To avoid any further postponement due to extreme heat the start time will now be 7:00 am with the event finishing by approx 11:00 am
  • HELPER DUTIES – those who elected COURSE BUILD 1:30 pm – 3:00 pm the course build will now be FRIDAY 8 February 8:00am-9:30 am. If you chose this duty for the first event and unable to attend it for the second event this please let me know and we can find an alternative.
  • JUMPING CLASSES – we have added a 110cm class due to multiple requests for this

New entries will be welcome and the event has been re-opened on www.nominate.com.au As we are limited in numbers we do request current riders inform us ASAP if they are not planning on competing on the 9 February to enable others to enter.

We appreciate your understanding and hope you have an enjoyable (cool) weekend,

Sara Botten
Events and Business Development Manager

Unique Opportunity for WA coaches. Dedicated Coaches clinic/workshop with Lilo Fore.

All Coaches are invited to attend a coaching clinic/workshop with Lilo Fore USA Trainer/ Coach, Dressage Judge.
Lilo has trained riders to the top level of International Competition, herself riding to FEI GP, and producing many top quality performance horses at her Stud in the USA.
The day will cover The International Training Scale, with an emphasis on how true collection is developed through each level of training.
