ISSUES FIRST / ISSUES MATTER

This week we had our first forums filled with energetic audiences. On Monday, 6 of the 8 candidates participated in the Hispanic Chamber luncheon forum. That same evening, Sylvia headed over to Ripley House for the East End Civic Leaders Forum. Thursday night she participated in the League of Women Voters conversation with each of the candidates. Click here to watch it! Sylvia stressed that her 3 top priorities as your next State Senator will be to fight for accessible healthcare, job creation and public education. Thank you to everyone who worked so hard to put these forums together and provide venues for voters to discuss the issues.

14 MORE DAYS TILL ELECTION DAY

Please join in the fun and hard work that makes a winning campaign. We need to make sure our campaign has talked to every voter in the district so that they know how important it is to vote in this special election.

Join Team Garcia today to help Sylvia cross the finish line!  There are plenty of ways to help:

  • We need poll greeters, passing out literature to voters and thanking them for voting;
  • Volunteers to make phone calls and walk door-to-door to contact voters
  • Also, there is plenty of work to do at our Sylvia for Senate Campaign Headquarters. Everything from stuffing envelopes to labeling letters to answering the telephones-there is work for everyone- even for our youngest volunteers.

To volunteer please contact

All these groups recognize my proven record of public service with honesty, integrity and professionalism. They know that it’s always about putting people first and that the next senator must stand with our neighborhoods, our district and our state. It is so important we get this right. I want to go to Austin and fight for our families, bring good jobs with fair wages to the district, make sure that our most vulnerable have access to affordable & quality healthcare and fight to make sure that Governor Perry funds public education.

This election is about all of us and I would be honored to have your vote.
