An important event for Australia's Para-Equestrian team on the Road to Rio is the Hartpury CPEDI3* which is happening from 8-10 July. Five Para-dressage riders have made the trip to the UK to represent Australia - Anne Skinner, Caitlin Radford, Emma Booth, Katie Umback and Zoe Vorenas. We wish our riders the best of luck and look forward to following their progress at this event. Our Australian team of Chris Burton (Haruzac), Andrew Hoy (Cheeky Calimbo) and Kevin McNab (Casperelli) finished in second place of the FEI Nations Cup™ Eventing Series 2015 at the Strzegom International Horse Trials CICO3*, in Poland. MORE  

The Ariat Rider of the Month is Boyd Exell who, once again, arrived first and dominated the Lähden CAI3* Event in Germany from beginning to end, after his last win in Saumur at the beginning of June. MORE 

Changes to Horse Prefix Registration requirements have been made to benefit breeders and studs. They can now register the horse’s prefix from birth and it can no longer be changed without their written permission. This will enable a better recognition and acknowledgement of the breeder's significant role in the success of a sport horse's career. MORE

Acclaimed cross country course designer Mike Etherington-Smith is joining Equestrian Australia’s (EA) Eventing high performance program in an advisory capacity. MORE 

National Vaulting Selectors have announced the athletes that will represent Australia at the upcoming FEI World Vaulting Championships for Juniors from 5-9 August, in Ermelo (NED). MORE 

Chris Burton and Graf Liberty were 4th at Luhmühlen CCI4* finishing on their final score of 36.40 - a great result for this up-and-coming horse who is competing at his first CCI4*. MORE 

World Equestrian Games (WEG) representative and international Dressage rider Maree Tomkinson was at The Warringah Dressage Association, based at St Ives Showground on Sydney’s North Shore after the club won EA's World Equestrian Games club competition. MORE 

The Australian Sports Foundation has approved the recently launched Australian Dressage International Travel Fund. Equestrian Australia supports the Australian Dressage International Travel Fund but please be advised EA has no access to the funds raised nor does it have any input into how the funds are distributed. This is the responsibility of the executors of the Trust. MORE

John Patterson passed away in the early morning on Monday 22nd June 2015, at the age of 71. MORE 

Ben Hudson, selected rider to represent Australia at the 2014 World Equestrian Games in France last year but who unfortunately had to withdraw, won the 50th anniversary of the Tom Quilty Gold Cup. MORE 

Australia's Geoff Sinclair has been appointed Assistant Technical Delegate for Eventing at the 2016 Rio Olympics Games. He will be working alongside the Technical Delegate Alec Lochore (GBR). MORE
