'Tis the season to apply for a grant to host a Christmas event

The City of Adelaide will bring music and vibrancy to city streets as part of the 2022 Christmas Festival, which is on from Monday 14 November until Sunday 25 December. Grants are available for events, attractions, markets, live music and street performances. Event organisers can secure up to $40,000 to cover costs associated with event staging. Musicians and bands can apply for funding of up to $3,000 to perform in city streets.

Iconic SA retailer Mercato signs up to Eighty Eight O'Connell 

North Adelaide will get a slice of Italy following iconic retailer Mercato’s expansion into the $250 million Eighty Eight O’Connell development. The brand, which had its beginnings in Campbelltown, will include a retail section, restaurant and bar, spread out across 850sq m. Eighty Eight O’Connell, at the old LeCornu site, is scheduled for completion in the first half of 2025.

Fashion takes over Adelaide

AEDA will offer businesses the chance to host a branded moment during Adelaide's biggest shopping event. Spots are limited.

Beer leads you to a more sustainable business, pub group says.

Helping reduce single-use plastics in two city pubs is as simple as turning to an empty beer keg for the Duxton Pub Group. The business, which owns The Lion on Melbourne Street in North Adelaide and Saracens Head on Carrington Street, uses stainless-steel beer kegs, rather than plastic containers, to store olive oil.

AEDA has 20 tickets available to Business SA's upcoming Chamber Event at U City, Franklin Street, on Tuesday 30 August. Speakers at the networking event will discuss U City becoming the state's first certified carbon neutral whole building, as well as mental health and resilience.
