Spring 2016

Dear newsletter subscriber,

In her book Better than Before Gretchen Rubin explains the power of the strategy of a fresh start. The beginning of spring represents a great opportunity for a fresh start, whether that's sharpening your leadership skills or working more effectively with your team.

Since March is Women's History Month, it's also a great opportunity to make a pledge to support other women – this article on micro-sponsorship and this article on how to combat bias give you some great ideas. For example:

"It's been found that women are far more likely to be interrupted at work than men—by both men and other women. Whenever this happens, particularly while networking, offer an encouraging comment like, 'Hang on, I want to hear the rest of her idea.' Make your contribution as wing woman invaluable to her—and your own—empowerment."

I hope to see some of you at our Leadership Conference on March 29th. If you're planning to be there, please let me know; I'd love to catch up.

Best,
