Simpler, more streamlined planning and procedures could go a long way to advancing international efforts to combat climate change, according to a new report from the Global Climate Change Alliance based on a recent consultative event.
Some 160 delegates from across the world gathered in Brussels from 18th – 20th September to extract lessons learned from GCCA-funded projects to date and promote dialogue and exchange between climate change practitioners and negotiators. One word kept coming to the fore.
“Simplify, simplify – this came up so many times at this event,” said Roberto Ridolfi Director Sustainable Growth and Development at EuropeAid, in the concluding session of the event.
