PAPUA NEW GUINEA NATIONAL HAUS KRAI
Beginning on the evening of 14th of May with an all night music and prayer vigil by all churches through to a dawn service at 7am on  the 15th of May, with a music concert and speeches to be held at the Sir John Guise Stadium, a nationwide protest in the form of a ‘haus krai’, (house of mourning) to advocate against the high rate of violence against women in Papua New Guinea will be held. A petition will be presented to the Government, Governors of each province and all citizens of PNG on May 15th after lunch. The National Haus Krai has the full support of the nation with 14 provinces also doing their own Haus Krai on the 15th of this month.  This is a symbolic act of solidarity to call on the PNG Government to take action against violence against women in PNG and to say enough is enough. Australia and other countries like Japan, Switzerland, the United States, the Philippines and Dublin in Ireland, will also be standing in solidarity with PNG on the 15th of May.

NEW! YOUR LUTHERAN CLASSIC CASE 5
You’re invited… to enjoy top quality (90+ points) fantastic value (less than$20 a bottle) Lutheran wine and support a great Lutheran cause at the same time – the 2013 Longest Lutheran Lunch. Renowned international Wine Writer (and Lutheran!), Tyson Stelzer, sampled more than four dozen Lutheran wines by some of the best winemakers in Australia, before selecting the best of each style for the Lutheran Classic Case 5. Tyson  says the standard of the Lutheran wine submitted for the Classic Case ‘continues to rise’. Lutheran wine can be a real conversation starter with friends who may not know anything about the Lutheran church.
