The following public and bank holidays will be observed on Christmas Island during 2022:

• New Year’s Day – Monday, 3 January 2022 (in lieu of Saturday, 1 January 2022)
• Australia Day – Wednesday, 26 January 2022
• Chinese New Year (Day 1) – Tuesday, 1 February 2022
• Chinese New Year (Day 2) – Wednesday, 2 February 2022
• Labour Day – Monday, 21 March 2022
• Good Friday – Friday, 15 April 2022
• Anzac Day – Monday, 25 April 2022
• Hari Raya Puasa – Monday, 2 May 2022*
• Hari Raya Haji – Monday, 11 July 2022* (in lieu of Saturday, 9 July 2022)
• Territory Day – Monday, 3 October 2022
• Christmas Day – Monday, 26 December 2022 (in lieu of Sunday, 25 December 2022)
• Boxing Day – Tuesday, 27 December 2022 (in lieu of Monday, 26 December 2022)
