Joel Kuipers and Joshua Bell were quoted in The Irish Examiner on the future of cell phones and mobile technology.

Both The Indian Express and Politico featured work by Barbara Miller on Indian hairstyles and their implication in Indian society and how unbalanced sex ratios contribute to social problems among refugees in Europe.

Classical and Near Eastern Language and Civilizations

Eric H. Cline coauthored an article in Quartz on the social implications of historic droughts in the Near East and the potential connection to today.

Economics

The Tampa Bay Times and Marketplace both quoted Tara Sinclair. She also appeared in Quartz, discussing the amount of unfilled jobs and in PolitiFact in response to remarks by Paul Ryan.

English

Thomas Mallon published an essay in The New Yorker titled “A View from the Fringe.” His novel, Finale, also appeared on several year-end lists of 2015’s best books (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6). He also wrote the review “Winter” for The New York Times.

Lisa Page authored "'Grant Park’ review: A novel about America’s continuing racial divide" in The Washington Post.

Frank Sesno spoke to CNN’s New Day on Sean Penn’s interview with “El Chapo.” He also gave comments to The Washington Post and CBS Radio on the closure of Al Jazeera America, and provided commentary on Donald Trump’s withdrawal from the January 28th Republican debate to The New York Times and CNN.

In Newsday, Tara Sonenshine co-authored the article “Trivial way we’re fighting terrorists,’’ which mentioned research conducted by Javier Lesaca.

Remarks by Cheryl Thompson about famed journalist Bob Woodward appeared in The News-Gazette in honor of the Lincoln Lecture series, which Woodward led.

Comments by John Logsdon appeared in both U.S. News & World Report and IEEE Spectrum in articles republished to commemorate the 30th Anniversary of the Challenger explosion.
