Click here COVID-19 Update #30Upcoming changes to screening at Niagara Region facilities Niagara Region is making modifications to our screening practices in order to better identify the number of employees, contractors, clients and visitors on site. Effective June 10, when employees pass the screen, they will notice their name appear in green below the date. This is populated by the name entered at the beginning of the screen. This change is necessary in order to protect the health of our employees and allow staff to follow up where necessary. Contractors will also be asked to identify their company name to ensure ease of follow-up if necessary. Visitors will be asked for the name of the Niagara Region employee whom they are meeting. Clients will not be asked for any additional information. In response to the change to COVID-19 testing eligibility, the screening tool will be more specific about the type of testing that requires an employee to remain at home until results are received. Those who get tested due to having symptoms or close contact with someone with COVID-19 are required to remain at home until they have received their test results and advice from a health care provider. Those who are asymptomatic and opt to get tested via the self-referral process are not required to remain home while they await results. While you are only required to complete the screening process once per day to enter Niagara Region facilities that are not care-based, there may be times when the screener at the door asks to see your screening results when you re-enter throughout the day. Thank you in advance for your understanding. |
