March 2017 update - we need your input

The NZ Transport Agency is looking at ways to make State Highway 2, between Waihi and Tauranga, safer and more reliable.

The team have been working on solutions for this stretch of road and, using both community and stakeholder feedback, have developed a short list of options and are ready to share these.

Public information days are now planned for later this month.

This will be your opportunity to talk to members of the project team in more detail about the options up for consideration.

To find out about the projects, including the dates and times of the public information days, read the latest project update.

The Transport Agency has also recently completed an assessment of the Katikati town centre and concluded that a bypass will be added to the State Highway 2 Waihi to Tauranga programme. You can read the media release here.
