This is an exceptional opportunity to join us if you have not already had the chance! ALSO - Reserve March 18th as the date for our next scheduled rendez-vous. We are planning a session on evaluation in trust-based philanthropy, a follow-up from our January session. However, everyone is welcome to attend even if they did not make it to the January session. NEW MEMBER Warmest welcome to the Paul Barber Foundation! NONPROFIT APPRECIATION WEEK PFC supports Nonprofit Appreciation Week in Ontario, happening THIS WEEK. Two and a half million people work in Canada's nonprofits and charities, doing the miraculous work of caring for some of our most vulnerable citizens, engaging youth in arts and sports, knitting together proud communities, and much more. Ontario’s nonprofit sector is Canada’s largest – a $50 billion economic driver that collectively employs one million people and engages 5.2 million volunteers. The social contribution of this sector is immeasurable. We applaud the leadership of PFC member The Bhayana Foundation for helping to make this happen! BLACK LEADERSHIP IN SOCIAL IMPACT SUMMIT February 24 - 25, 2022 On Feb 24-25, PFC will be supporting Future of Good and Foundation for Black Communities in hosting hundreds of changemakers from across the country. Together, we'll celebrate and explore Black leadership in social impact and how we can build an anti-racist social impact sector. Black changemakers are pushing the sector forward in countless ways, from making philanthropy more justice-oriented by posing questions about what ‘diversity, equity and inclusion’ really means, to redesigning community services for a post-COVID era. Our sessions will discuss topics like Black access to capital, as well as building anti-racist grantmaking and social finance. Undoubtedly, we are going to engage in deeply relevant conversations for our sector--so, this is an event not to be missed. PFC members get special access to the event, but tickets are limited.
