Great news was announced today, with Adelaide jumping up to the third most liveable city in the world! The Economist's Global Liveability Index 2021 had Adelaide higher than Perth (6th position), Melbourne (equal 8th) and Brisbane (10th). We say Adelaide is a city designed for life and this certainly is a proud moment.
Our 'Hit the Town' winter campaign launched this week and we are calling on hospitality businesses to be involved in 'Dinner's On Us', where we are giving away 5,000 x $30 dinner vouchers to encourage people to come to the city and North Adelaide and enjoy the 50+ events being held this winter.
As a new agency, we have now launched our website which we encourage you to take a look at. Also, follow us on LinkedIn, Facebook and Twitter to keep up to date with our economic development support for businesses in city. That includes our support of Renew Adelaide which has initiated a host of new businesses recently opening in vacant premises or grants that are on offer to businesses.
'Dinner's On Us' promotion: Business registrations now open
AEDA is giving away 5,000 x $30 vouchers as part of our brand new ‘Dinner’s On Us’ promotion. Vouchers can be won by the public to use at participating businesses in July and August 2021.
Vouchers can be used for up to $30 off dine-in meals at registered businesses in the Adelaide CBD and North Adelaide. Businesses will receive payment from AEDA on a weekly basis.
Before you register, you are required to have your business listed for free on the Australian Tourism Data Warehouse (ATDW). The promotion FAQs and 'Dinner's On Us' page are a great start if you have any questions about the

Up to $5,000 for upgrades
There are only 10 spots left for FREE energy assessments for businesses in Adelaide and North Adelaide - get in quick. The City of Adelaide will give you up to $5,000 towards upgrades, when you implement the recommended changes.
Mainstreets grants
Apply now for up to $10,000 funding to activate your shopfront or outdoor area if you're a businesses or property owner along Hutt, Hindley, Gouger, Rundle, Melbourne and O'Connell Streets. Applications close midnight, Monday 14 June.
