September 11, 2001Nearly half of GenZers (born 1995-2006)—i.e., our thirteen to 24-year-olds today—were born after the four coordinated terrorist attacks on the United States 18 years ago today. That means they have never known a world without TSA and long security lines at the airport. They’ve never known what it was like not to have to take your shoes off and walk barefoot through an Xray scanner, not to have to limit your fluids in your carry-on bag to 3 fluid oz each, not to have to plop your laptop on a conveyor belt for high-tech Xray analysis, not to have to undergo the occasional (or frequent, depending on your ethnic background) pat-down by a sometimes friendly TSA officer. The list could go on and on. Read more
First Adventurer MeetingThe first Adventurer Club meeting will be held Sunday, September 15, at 10:00 AM-12:00 PM in the Pioneer Classrooms. We will have a get together shortly after the meetings.
Arise IntensiveWe're excited to announce that PMC is helping sponsor a really unique discipleship weekend coming up with Pastor Ty Gibson and Pastor David Asscherick beginning September 21-22. The truth is that once in a while, we all need a reset in our Christian experience, whether you’re a brand-new Christian or a 103-year-old church elder. Join us for a weekend that aims to re-introduce you to the God of the most beautiful story ever told. He longs for us to understand the biblical narrative—a story all about redemption, relationship, restoration, and re-creation. During the weekend, they’ll be breaking down the big picture of Scripture, reframing who God is in light of the Bible as a story, and giving you some practical tools for your Christian experience and witness. Our hope is that as we dig into the Story of the Bible, you’ll fall in love with God all over again and become part of an active community of storytellers who want to build His Kingdom. The regular cost is $125, but for Andrews Students, it can be as inexpensive as $65. For more information and to register, go to www.ariseintensive.com. Finally, Andrews students will receive 10 co-currIcular credits for attending.
