2019 Equestrian WA Annual Elections Results

EWA is pleased to announce the results of the EWA annual elections for the period 2020 – 2022, we welcome all the successful candidates and are looking forward to their and the current elected committee members vision for the Sport committees into the future.

The Sport committees of Dressage, Eventing, Jumping and Show Horse are all calling for Expressions of Interest to fill a number of appointed committee positions, and these are annual appointments and open to any EWA member to apply. (Except Recreational membership).

If you feel you can contribute to any of the EWA Sport committees, please complete the expression of interest form and return to EWA by 19th November. A selection panel (one per sport) will be established to appoint the committee members these will consist of one Board member, two elected Sport committee members and the CEO.

EWA Board
Following the annual election of the Board representatives for two (2) elected directors positions;

• Ron Fleming was elected to fill the position of Ordinary Director (2020 – 2022)
• Anne Wilkins was elected to fill the position of Ordinary Director casual vacancy (2018 – 2020)

They will join current elected EWA Board of Directors Anne Avery (2018 – 2020), Anita Marchesani and William Newton-Wordsworth (2019 – 2021)

Coaching WA Committee
Following the annual election of the Coaching committee representatives for two (2) elected Coaching committee member positions;

• Diane Bennit was elected to fill the position of Elected Committee Member Coaching committee (2020 – 2022)
• Gail Simms was elected to fill the position of Elected Committee Member Coaching committee (2020 – 2022)

They will join current Coaching committee representatives Gill Botten, Philippa Collier, Rebecca Thomas and Liesl Wilding (2019 – 2021)

Jumping WA Committee
Following the annual election of the Jumping committee representatives for three (3) elected Jumping committee member positions;

• Amy Kippin was elected to fill the position of Elected Committee Member Jumping committee (2020 – 2022)
• Lucy Galovicova was elected to fill the position of Elected Committee Member Jumping committee (2020 – 2022)
• Ben Wilson was elected to fill the position of Elected Committee Member Jumping committee (2020 – 2022)

They will join current elected Jumping committee representative Tracy Barber (2019 – 2021)

There were no nominations for the two (2) Affiliate Representative Member positions; therefore, these positions are vacant.

Show Horse WA Committee
Following the annual election of the Show Horse committee representatives for one (1) elected committee member Show Horse committee position;

• Bernard Jenkinson was elected to fill the position of Elected Committee Member Show Horse committee (2020 – 2022)

He will join current elected Show Horse committee representatives Marlene Kinder and Kerry Wilson (2018 – 2020) and Val Mayger (2019 – 2021)

There were no nominations for the two (2) Affiliate Representative Member positions; therefore, these positions are vacant.
 
Eventing WA Committee
There was one (1) nomination for the Casual vacancy (2018 – 2020). For Elected Committee Member EWA Eventing committee, therefore, no election took place for the EWA Eventing Committee Elected Member position.

The successful candidate for the EWA Eventing committee is Philippa Collier (2018 – 2020).

There were no nominations for the one (1) Elected Affiliate Representative Member position (2020 – 2022) therefore this position is vacant.

The current elected Eventing committee representatives are Ruth Ellis, Rozanne Taylor and Peter McLachlan (2019 – 2021) PollyAnn Huntington and Kerrie Robbins (2018 – 2020)

Dressage WA Committee
There are no nominations for the two (2) Elected Affiliate Representative Member positions (2020 – 2022) these two positions are vacant.

The current elected Dressage committee representatives are Val Mayger and Stephanie Munro (2018 – 2020), Suzanne Simons and Tracey Spackman (2019 – 2021)
