Lutheran Tract Mission

Lutheran Tract Mission (LTM) offers leaflets, text cards and bookmarks for most situations to offer comfort and hope, to give encouragement and bring joy. Receiving God’s love in this time of isolation is a need that many isolated elderly people long for! It can be a source of contact knowing that they are valued, loved and cared for.

Imagine...

  • A resident of an aged care facility and receiving this beautiful bible verse in a tract next to your meal plate
  • Finding a postcard posted into your letterbox by a neighbour who knows your need of encouragement or comfort.
  • Your grandchildren come over and be able to play with the magnetic nativity set on your fridge while you tell them the story of Jesus birth.
  • Visiting and sitting with an elderly person in hospital and being able to read them a Psalm of comfort and then leave it with them to read again for themselves as it is large print.

Share God’s love. Be ‘Jesus’ to someone needing your care.

In everything give thanks

The Committee for Ministry with the Ageing seeks to support people within the LCA who minister to and with the ageing and to whom the ageing are ministering. This ministry is certainly something for which we can give thanks as we pray that the seeds sown in this ministry lead to a rich harvest in God’s kingdom.

We know that love comes to life when we see God’s image in every person – no matter how old or young they may be.
