Are you going to ALA Annual in Chicago? We love Chicago and are looking forward to seeing many of our customers there, since it’s such a great, central location. Look for us in BOOTH #1729. Atlas Systems’ Support and Development Team members will be available in the booth to talk with you. If there’s a specific person you want to meet with in Chicago, please contact him or her in advance to coordinate schedules. If you need a pass to the exhibit hall only, please contact John Brunswick (jbrunswick@atlas-sys.com) for a complimentary pass while available. We’re also pleased to have our Zepheira friends in the booth with us again to talk about the Library.Link Network and how we’re working together to increase usage and visibility of your collections through Atlas Systems’ Web Visibility Services. We don’t generally have an Aeon User event at ALA Annual, since we know most of our Aeon users attend RBMS or SAA in lieu of ALA. But if you plan to be at ALA and would like to have an Aeon User event, let me know (sspires@atlas-sys.com) and we’ll see what we can arrange. Also, if you’ll be at ALA, please contact Dan Specht (dspecht@atlas-sys.com) if you want to set up a meeting to explore in more detail what Web Visibility Services can do for your institution. FREE Class Introduction to ArchivesSpaceHave you been thinking about using ArchivesSpace? Are you wondering about how your institution’s finding aids and archival data would look in ArchivesSpace? During the formal hands-on workshop hours, which will be July 11-13, 1:30 PM-3:30 PM Eastern time, you will learn how to create accession and resource (finding aid) records in ArchivesSpace. Outside of the formal workshop hours, attendees will be able to practice on an ArchivesSpace server at any time, beginning at the start of the workshop on Tuesday, July 11th through 5PM Eastern Time on Friday, July 14th. There will be some examples to practice with during the workshop, but you can also practice with your own finding aids. As an added bonus, attendees will also receive a free month of access to the Atlas Systems Video Training Library of ArchivesSpace videos. This course is limited to 20 participants. Registration: Email Anne Marie Lyons at amlyons@atlas-sys.com by Wednesday, July 5th, to register for the course. Introducing the Community Center! We’re taking community engagement and support to a whole new level with the launch of the new Community Center support.atlas-sys.com. More than simply support, the Community Center will be the place for you to connect and share ideas with colleagues and Atlas Systems staff, submit a support ticket, or just browse topics. The Community Center is designed to further communication among Ares, Aeon, ILLiad and ArchivesSpace users. Links are also available for access to documentation, video training, or to submit an Aeon or Ares enhancement request through UserVoice.
