St John's School Euroa Newsletter Term 3 Week 2 St John's is a Child Safe School where all children are respected and are protected from harm. Principal's Message Dear Families, Welcome to Week 2. COVID Tests - If you or someone in your household has had a COVID test and are awaiting for results, we strongly recommend that you keep your children at home until you receive the results. It is up to all of us to play a part in keeping our community safe. Thanks to those parents who have been keeping their unwell children at home. 3.00pm Dismissal - Unless students have an apppointment, we will not be dismissing them before 3.00pm. This gives teachers enough time to complete learning activities. School Photos - School photos will be taken on Wednesday 5th of August. There will be two photographers attending. They will complete our COVID contractor declaration and will be wearing masks and social distancing at all times. Move to ICON - This Friday, the current school administration system will close down for the next three weeks as we move to ICON (Integrated Catholic Online Network). We ask for your patience during this time as we have no access to our accounting and student systems. The change to the system will bring us in line with other Dioceses across Victoria. Andrea will be out of the office for training over a couple of weeks. Please be patient with myself and Brenton as we try to fill Andrea's shoes. School Board Meeting & AGM - At 6.00pm next Tuesday the 28th July, we will be holding our School Board Meeting and AGM. Later in the week we will decide if this will be a virtual or face to face meeting. Thank You - Thank you to the families who made casseroles/meals for our casserole bank for families in times of need. Annual Report - The Annual Report can be viewed on our website. Or you can request a hardcopy from Andrea or myself. Have a great week, Libby St John's acknowledges the Taungurung People as the traditional custodians of the land on which we work, play and live. Religious Education Week 2 – Mustard Seed He also said, ‘With what can we compare the kingdom of God, or what parable will we use for it? It is like a mustard seed, which, when sown upon the ground, is the smallest of all the seeds on earth; yet when it is sown it grows up and becomes the greatest of all shrubs, and puts forth large branches, so that the birds of the air can make nests in its shade.’ Click on the Sandpiper Logo To view the latest publication FACES OF MERCY Faces of Mercy recognise students who consistently model our BBBBs.
