It has been a quarter of exciting firsts. KAUST officially inaugurated not one, but two research centers. President Chameau announced KAUST's first alumni chapter in Saudi Arabia. And Bill Gates, founder of Microsoft and co-chair of the Gates Foundation, visited KAUST in a collaborative effort aimed at exploring ways to reduce the problems of hunger, malnutrition and water scarcity.
