Family Forum in Colombia uses Inclusion International Article 19 report to advance a dialogue on building inclusive communities with better opportunities for people with intellectual disabilities and their families
In 2012 Inclusion International undertook a review of its existing membership to determine how best to serve and support its members in all parts of the world. Several clear messages came from members about the need broaden our base and welcome new members while retaining a focused leadership from families and-advocates. Several processes to progress towards a unified and coordinated movement have been initiated by the Inclusion International Officers and Council.

Rong Ai Rong Le” (融愛融楽), new parents group in Beijng, China, has opened its first office. Inclusion International has been supporting this group to come together and in December 2012, co-hosted the first workshop for families and people with intellectual disabilities.
IDA publication on the right to vote documents challenges facing people with intellectual disabilities. The publication includes articles from Inclusion International and many of its members.
Inclusion International encourages its members to participate in the UN on-line consultation on disability and development that builds on their previous consultation carried out in November 2012. The deadline is April 5th.
