D'ARCY SLATER FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIPS

Applications for the D'Arcy Slater Foundation Scholarship 2017 Summer Round will be opening next Monday 29 January. Up to seven individual scholarships worth $5,000 are awarded annually, together with up to one team scholarship worth $10,000 in the Winter round. The application form will be available on the WAIS website for a two week period. Applications close 12 February 2018.

2018 Rulebook Workshop
Date: 7 February, 6:00 - 9:00pm
Location: Swan Valley Equestrian Park, Hadrill Rd
Price: $5 judges, $10 non-judges. Tea, coffee and biscuits provided.
Kim Thomas will run through the major changes in the rulebook for 2018. Make sure you are aware of the new rules ahead of the 2018 season and before the ORBT for accreditation.

CONGRATULATIONS MARTIN & CHRIS

Eventing WA would like to congratulate Martin Hellier and Chris Edwards on their recent Course Designer (CD) promotion to National Level 3 and Level 2 respectively. The result of this is that Martin will now be able to CD up to CNC/CCN*** level and Chris up to CNC/CCN** and CIC/CCI*.

FEI REGISTRATIONS & NATIONAL PASSPORTS

A reminder to all riders and horses competing at FEI level competition this year that FEI registration is based on the calendar year and needs to be renewed in January of each year. Horses that are being registered with the FEI for the first time also need to be identifiable by the EA National Passport (some exemptions apply). SHOW HORSE PUBLIC MEETING

EWA invites you to an open meeting at the State Equestrian Centre on 28 February 2018 at 7:00pm to discuss Show Horse in WA and ways on how to grow the sport for the future. EWA Board members, the EWA Show Horse Committee and the EWA CEO will be discussing the following topics:

• General matters
