While it has been a busy, strange and 'pivotal' year so far, there is still much to accomplish in the next few months. Getting back to work in the outdoors, the Outdoors Queensland Awards, the Nature Play QLD Loose Parts Play Regional Tour and the QLD General Election on October 31st to name a few. We also take a few moments to celebrate the important message put out by our Chief Health Officer, Dr Jeanette Young, on being outdoors. :-) Read on for more updates, info and useful links ... Further updates to the COVID Safe Plan for Outdoor Recreation Activity Providers and Outdoor Education Providers is expected this month in light of the relaxations above. Outdoor Recreation Policy for the 2020 Queensland State ElectionOutdoors Queensland has published a position statement on the importance of the outdoors and outdoor recreation for the forthcoming 2020 Queensland State Elections which has been sent to political parties for consideration leading up to the election. Read More Outdoors Queensland Awards 2020 Due to the ongoing COVID-19 situation we will not be hosting a face-to-face awards dinner this year. Instead we will be getting all attendees, including finalists and their supporters, together in a virtual presentation – you will be able to attend the event from anywhere in Queensland. All finalists, nominators, colleagues and members of the Queensland outdoors community are encouraged to register for the Zoom presentation and show their support for the outdoors in Queensland. Join us online on Friday October 30 at 6 pm as we celebrate the finalists and announce the winners of the 2020 Outdoors Queensland Awards.
